CHARLI WOOL BERET
CHARLI VELVET CHOKER
BOOHOO MONOCHROME CHECK SHIRT
BOOHOO SPLIT KNEE JEGGINGS
BOOHOO MESH TOP

To celebrate the launch of CharliXCX’s new 90s inspired collection, I was contacted by Boohoo.com and very kindly sent my very own ‘Charli’s Angels’ gift box, filled with surprise throwback treats (remember sherbet straws and rainbow drops!), along with an outfit from www.boohoo.com to style my own 90s look!

The 90s are iconic for oversized shirts, chokers, bomber jackets, crop tops, lots of tartan and denim! From grunge to preppy, 90s fashion covered it all and so does the #charlixcx4boohoo collection! I can't get over the high neck leotards and fluffy jumpers, not forgetting faux fur detachable collars and wool beret's, which are very "Clueless" #naileditthe collaboration is genius and within everyone's budget so you can totally get a sassy 90s look without going broke!

As for my own look well I'm still obsessed with oversize fits so this monochrome checked shirt was the perfect pick along with the knee split jeggings and chunky platform boots to complete my grunge/goth look.

I was skeptical about wearing this mesh crop top because I have neither a flat tummy or small chest but what's more sassy than being comfortable & confident in your skin and wearing what you want, belly rolls and all!

I can't help feeling I'm the 5th member of the badass girl sqaud from iconic film The Craft or even a goth 90s Mary J Blige, I dunno I'll let y'all decide!

I can't tell you how exciting it was to be contacted by Boohoo! It was an absolute dream and pleasure to take part in celebrating the launch of #charliexcx4boohoo which is now available to shop on boohoo.com - take a look you wont be disappointed!

Let me know what you think of my look!

FARFETCH: STYLE REINVENTION

Shopping from the menswear section is probably something that you would never consider doing but it can actually be a great opportunity to reinvent your look.

I personally love experimenting with menswear inspired looks, so when the online fashion site FARFETCH, home to over 300 fashion boutiques, challenged me to style a feminine outfit using only clothing items from their MENSWEAR category, I couldn't resist, especially when I could potentially win a £250 voucher to spend on Farfetch.com!

To say I "fell in love" with this ribbed panel turtleneck sweater by J.W Anderson would be an understatement, the mixture of fabric textures in this sweater had my attention straight away, I thought it would look great layered over the pleated shorts by Givenchy which I envision to have an oversized look on a woman. The classic bomber jacket has had its own reinvention by Dsquared with this sick zipper detail and is the perfect piece to complement this tomboyish look.

I couldn't decide between the Givenchy clutch bag or Saint Laurent backpack. I was drawn to the gold numbering print on the clutch and theres that zipper detail again on the backpack that would look so good with the bomber jacket. Its so hard to choose! I pick both, its a wishlist after all!
Accessories are always a must and us women can rock a bold face watch and a pair of mirrored sunglasses just as well, if not better than, any man! I'm obsessed with this fluffy bag charm too and I think by now, from my blog, that you guys know no look is complete without a wide brim hat!

I was allowed to pick one clothing item from the womenswear section to complete the look, well I chose these amazing patchwork thigh high boots by Burberry, to be worn under the shorts to inject some vibrant colour into the outfits monochromatic palette and put the sexy back! - hell-to-the-yeah!

Menswear doesn't have to be exclusive just to men, challenge yourself and reinvent your style. Why should men get all the fun?!

Seriously wish this outfit existed in my wardrobe, its "me" all over! Let me know what you think!

A U T U M N A L

PRIMARK SCARF, FEDORA (SIMILAR) AND TURTLENECK (SIMILAR)

Theres something about dressing for autumn/winter weather that is so appealing. Yes it may get cold, yes it may rain but when I'm not curled under my duvet watching Narcos (must watch TV!)  I love to layer up and experiment with my style, an opportunity that is quite rare to do in the summertime.

I was drawn to the earthy colours of the scarf, they compliment the dark berry tone of my fedora and my beloved turtleneck. The brown lip liner in chocolate from Barry M has found its way permanently into my make up bag, its a nice change to red, although red lipstick will always be #1. To finish, I added my darkwash jeans, super comfy heels and my lightweight trench to tie in all the colours and keep it light. Autumn doesn't have to mean dreary! All I need now is some shades to tackle the sun, which surprisingly is still here!

I've received so many compliments on this scarf and people can hardly believe that its from Primark and cost only £5. In defence of Primark their quality has gone up a notch and I can honestly tell you this scarf not only looks the part it plays the part too, its super warm, cosy and soft everything you could ever want. I'm a firm believer of its not what you wear, but how you wear it. What a bargain.

HAPPINESS BOUTIQUE

I am extremely fond of a bold statement necklace as you would remember from a past post >>>here.

I was kindly offered by Happiness Boutique, an online store based in Berlin, to style one of their statement necklaces. There's over 300 necklaces curated on their site, so theres no way you couldn't find one to suit your style and taste. I couldn't believe the amount of choice they have, it was hard not to want all of them!!, but this stunning Silver Toned Statement Necklace with its beautiful embossed design and distinguished punky spikes is my winner!
It arrived packaged in a black pouch delicately placed in a white box, padded for extra protection. All the little touches make all the difference to your bog standard delivery and make great gifts!
There is nothing better than an accessory stealing the show, so I kept it simple with a white V-neck sweater, paired with ripped jeans and silver hardware studded heels to keep in line with the necklace's edgy vibe.
If necklaces are not your thing Happiness Boutique also stock earrings, bracelets, rings and much more! I'm so pleased with the quality and price point for this necklace that I've got my eyes on a few more their products!:

It was super fun styling this necklace, its a keeper for sure! I've already worn it with a little black dress for a night out and my striped shirt for a daytime work look. Did I mention their Customer Reward Programme that credits you with points to spend towards future purchases - See for yourself and bring some happiness to your life :) >>>HERE!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

CARGO JACKET

I love military jackets, I have literally worn out my vintage camouflage jacket to death and with oversized balloon sleeves and a flattering waist this H&M Cargo Jacket is definitely an upgrade!

Dont let the sunshine fool ya Londoners, its definitely getting colder! Most shops have moved their A/W wears onto the shop floors and I've found so many nice pieces perfect for transitioning into the colder weather. Consciously trying to keep my spending to a minimal as I'm sure I've already got clothes to carry me through to winter. What I really have my sights set on is a nice winter coat (or two), boots and more turtlenecks.

Have I prematurely brought them out of storage? Idc! To me their the ideal clothing to carry you through the everychanging weathers. Primark do some really good lightweight ribbed turtlenecks that are great to wear now while its "warmer. I had to get this burnt orange colour, I think it works so well paired with the khaki jacket.

Who says you need to wear a mini skirt to show some leg? I love the front split on this Midi D Ring Warehouse Skirt. The D-ring detail has really become a thing this year, hasnt it? It beats a conventional belt loop.

Heels would be ideal to carry this look into the evening, I'm in need of some new ones and a brand called Public Desire have really got my attention recently and it may be time soon to make an investment, but for now my Minimal Suede Boots are my perfect everyday choice.

Hope you love this look as much as I do!

THE FLARED JEANS

CLICK TO SHOP:
H&M VEST

The obsession with denim has been serious this year. It started with this post here and has proven to be a trend worth investing in. These 70s inspired flared jeans definitely add character to any outfit. I think I like the crop flared jean better than culottes. They give me a better shape and make my legs look longer especially with heels.

The styling ideas I have for these jeans are just dying to be worn. these jeans with a blazer, shirt and trainers make a great day time look and then transition into autumn with a turtelneck and boots. I really wanted the matching crop top but I'm happy to mix & match it with other pieces from my wardrobe as I can constantly revamp these jeans and create new looks!

For this evening out, I opted for a black cami vest and my leather jacket and neck scarf to toughen up the look, The jeans do come up slightly loose, I bought W28 L32 but I think the next size down wouldn't have looked very flattering. Overall, I am happy with how they fit and the length is perfect with these fringed mules. Never going back to skinny jeans, well not anytime soon...

Let me know how you feel about this outfit!

THE ZARA KNITTED JUMPSUIT

ZARA KNITTED JUMPSUIT
MANGO LEATHER JACKET
HIGH TOP NIKE TRAINERS
PRIMARK ANKLE CHAIN (WORN AS A CHOKER)

I am so in love with this Zara jumpsuit its unreal. I never thought I would be able to carry off a culotte style jumpsuit. I am only 5'5, I feel taller lol, so I was worried this would wear me rather than the other way round. The jumpsuits crotch is a few inches lower than my own, lol, some would say it has a rather unflattering shape but I really like the way it falls on me and its definitely best worn without a bra. I love the ribbed detailing. I wore it out to see the new Maze Runner movie, btw its awesome, and it was the comfiest cinema outfit I have ever worn.
I missed out on the asos one here, which weirdly is back in stock! but now that I have this ribbed beauty I wouldnt want to spend my days in anything else!

My "choker" is actually a £4 ankle chain I found in Primark. I thought it was way to pretty to be on my foot, so I added a few more chain loops in from a old necklace and voila! a new choker was born. White minimal trainers are the way to go with this outfit and these high top Nike trainers were a bargain from Sports Direct at only £18! I gave my converses a lil break this summer and they were the perfect substitute.

What do you think of the culotte jumpsuit?
