MODERN DAY 70's DIVA

PRIMARK HIGH WAIST SKIRT - SIMILAR HERE, HERE & HERE
ROKIT VINTAGE BELT
NEW LOOK SUNGLASSES - SIMILAR HERE

The 70's has firmly become one of my favourite fashion eras. I love the flares, floaty tops, neck scarves, button down skirts, round shape sunglasses, fringed kimonos, bohemian trousers and now the suede A-line skirt.

This high waist mini skirt is from Primark and I am actually wearing in back to front. It has a O-ring zip front detail but I think it just looks more flattering at the back and against all the black accents, the rust orange colour is a nice vibrant change from all the dull tan, beige skirts around.

I bought theses boots as I do most of my purchases, on sale lol, from H&M online. I vowed to return them if they weren't right....but of course they were and now I have something other than sandals that works with this gorgeous suede A-line! Real or fake, the suede skirt is chic and versatile, I can wear it with simple t-shirts, a white shirt or add a polo jumper to take me into autumn.

Its definitely not hard to find 70's inspired clothing on the high street these days, its everywhere and I absolutely can't get enough of it! In fact if I could channel Bianca Jagger's style into everyday life I would, however, I have seen that this feeling is not the same for everyone and have read a few blogs who actually openly detest the trend and those who wear it, yet surprisingly have featured an 70's inspired item on their blog....????
I don't really understand that! In my opinion fashion is an form of expression and one of my favourite things is that fashion can take you away to another place where you can dress how you are feeling each day and no one can tell you otherwise, but thats another blogpost...

In the meantime, I'm definitely not done with the bohemian wave so expect a lot more looks to come from this modern day 70's diva!

Have a great weekend!

THAT PRINT THO...

H&M PRINT TROUSERS (Or here, here and here)
PRIMARK OFF THE SHOULDER TOP (Similar here or here or here)
PRIMARK NECKLACES
OASAP FEDORA

I must admit I am not 100% happy with these photos, compared to my last post, but theres not always time to set up my tripod and I am trying to be a more consistent blogger. With that in mind I do believe in quality over quantity so in the future mirror pics will be a big no no unless I master them like Clarissa and Sherlina, how do they take them soooo well?

Anyways, its all about the trousers right..??

Ok so summer weather in London has been a myth, however with summer comes the summer sale and I am a sucker for discounted clothes, so when I saw these in H&M I instantly knew they were coming home with me. £7! guys, the price feels so sweet! The print gives me festival feelings and just an amazing pattern, I have nothing like it in my wardrobe. They are so comfortable. Undeniably the print is busy so I paired it with an off the shoulder top from Primark. Layered with necklaces and of course topped off with my fedora, all I'm missing is a kimono or something fringed.

Am I too late to go to a festival? Ah well theres always next year, fingers crossed for Coachella eh?!

TRIPLE THREAT

ASOS WHITE JACKET  (or THIS or THIS!)
ZARA TRF CHAMBRAY SHIRT - SIMILAR
H&M MOM JEANS
MANGO HEELS

...and boy has my love for blogging been sparked!

Its been 88 days since my last post and it feels so good to say HELLOOOO! to you guys and bring you a new post! I would just like to say a massive THANK YOU for the response on my last post, "RED" 500 views and 47 comments make it my most popular yet!
Reading all the comments just make me so happy, you have no idea!

Can you believe its AUGUST! its almost my birthday (September 16th) and nearly the end of the year! I must admit I'm still making my way through my 2015 goals, but I'm feeling so happy and enthusiastic for the future and I'm so happy to be back shooting again! I never planned to take a break it just happened, like I'm sure all bloggers can understand sometimes you run out of ideas, or get burnt out and just cant manage blogging on top of the 101 things you already have going on!

Who would've thought I could do triple denim!

I have basically been stalking the online sale section of ASOS everyday and seeing this jacket go down to £37.50 from £75 made my bank balance sigh with relief at not having to spend the earth to own something from the ASOS White collection, I love their stuff but man the prices are a lil heavy at times! The patchwork detail on the jacket is just eye catching, its a piece I feel would liven up even the most simplest outfit, so I am looking forward to getting some good wear out of this jacket, especially in the colder weather. A new denim shirt wasn't really on my to buy list but when Zara offers a chambray beauty for £12 you don't really say no. Guys I've been spending so much, I cant stay away from the sale items and damn those discount emails! Seriously need to put myself on a spending ban, but who am I kidding, its just gone payday...treat yo self!

What do you think of my ASOS White jacket?
