LFW DAY 2: BERNARD CHANDRAN AND DORA ABODI

On day 2 of LFW the Fashion Scout catwalks took us down a journey of mythology and Gothic mystery, check out these designers who give the definition of "fashion statement" new meaning!

I felt like there were so many ideas in one collection, monochrome, vibrant reds, oranges and yellow and demure shades of pink and nude. The Malaysian designer created his SS15 collection "Venus In The Daytime" for the "urban goddess". The collection modernises the classic style of flowing Grecian gowns, chiffon dresses with digitally printed images of cherubims, soft pink leather and the unexpected use of stripes and polka dots against neon colours. I particularly like the faux breastplates and clean lines making some pieces take on a  slight androgynous, which I think represented a goddess's strength behind her beauty. Very eclectic collection but fit for a modern day goddess.

DORA ABODI

Transylvanian Dora Abodi presented a dark, goth look for her SS15 collection. Abodi's signature style is described as "baroque futurism" fusing classic art and religious symbolism with extraterrestrial aesthetics and technology. There was a blend of metallic royal blues, gold, silver and monochrome, adorned with elaborate embroidery, embellishments, intricate patterns and her signature symbol, The Twin Unisus. Heavily lined smokey eyes, jet black sleek wigs and horns added to the drama! Trust me seeing these maleficent-esque horns go down the runaway was all types of fierce and can we have a moment for Abodi's silver x gold and the all black leather x silk bomber jacket, I need a ready to wear version of my own in a size 10 please!

One more post on the way to round up my LFW SS15 experience, I promise one more! ^_^
