JUST A PEEP

BLAZER: PRIMARK
DENIM SKIRT: PRIMARK
WHITE TOP: PRIMARK
FEDORA: OASAP

Happy Monday! Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend even though Monday has come around way to soon!

Today's look is inspired by the denim trend I blogged about in yesterdays post here. I used to have a denim dress when I was younger I practically lived in it! I have yet to find another for the older me but I picked up this denim midi skirt from Primark for £5 and I plan on creating my own dress by teaming it with a denim shirt. The blazer is also from Primark on sale for £5 too, but what you wont believe is that I paid £14 for these incredible lace up boots from New Look. Yup, £14! Originally I had my heart set on thigh high lace up boots but I always looked a tad bit over dressed in them! This pair come up to my knee's and I really like teaming them with mid-length items, theres something chic about the look of it.

This weekend London Fashion Week commences and I have been thinking about what outfits to wear and I can tell you now its drove me crazy, the pressure! I have always had so much fun going but in the back of my mind I have been feeling some type of way almost like a fraud lol, wait hear me out...

Ever looked at fashion week and thought "What are they doing there?" I've kind of felt like that a few times in the past, not that anyone is paying me that amount of attention lol its more the voice in my head. I don't want to be considered as someone who goes to fashion week to get all dressed up just to stunt at Somerset House. I love fashion and I love blogging but I also know I am not a consistent blogger and theres so much more that I can learn about the industry so right now I would rather work on my blog and giving you guys good content and hopefully by September I will feel like I actually deserve to go.

This might sound silly to you guys but this is just how I feel at the moment. I am still going to watch the live streams and check out pics on the 'gram! Thank God for the internet!

Anyways, I hope you guys like my outfit!

THE WEEKEND MUSE #6: DENIM

Denim is an essential all year round but now there are so many new ways to style up or incorporate denim pieces into an everyday outfit besides skinny/bf/mom jeans, take a look below and you'll see what I mean...

Denim is probably the most everlasting fashion trend that is familiar but reinvented in new ways every season and not just for your 'days off/slummy days'. This season its all about the darker wash/indigo hues and denim culottes and tunics.

GET THE LOOK!
1. ASOS or from BOOHOO have a great dupe of Kourtney K's boiler suit.
2. Blogger Angelica Blick does triple denim effortlessly get the OVERSIZED JACKET, SHIRT and RIPPED JEANS all from vintage label House of Jam and slay the same way.
3. If you've got Rihanna's Miu Miu jacket money then by all means but my eyes are on this beaut from MONKI NEED NEED NEED!
4. We all had them as children but as adults dungarees defo look cooler NEW LOOK.
5. Culottes were big last year SS14 but denim culottes is new territory and defo on my 'to-buy-list'. Get the exact pair from H&M even MONKI are doing them!...P.S check out Monki's new collection they have some great stuff for S/S.
6. Dont sleep on the denim skirt: mini, high waisted pencil skirt and now the A-line denim skirt has gone midi try this one from GLAMOROUS.

Now I am not saying ditch your go-to reliable denim pieces but why not break the 'rules' and try something different?!
Are you a fan of this trend? Which styles would you wear?

CALVIN KLEIN

CALVIN KLEIN SWEATSHIRT: MISS PIGEONS WARDROBE
HIGH WAISTED JEANS: BERSHKA (SIMILAR)
TRENCHCOAT: H&M (SIMILAR)

If you don't know blogger about Maria Pearl then you should check her out, aside from blogging here she is a "Thrif Queen" who sells her incredible finds on her online store Miss Pigeons Wardrobe. When she posted her latest thrift purchases a few weeks ago on instagram I immediately spotted this Calvin Klein sweater, I kept my eye on her website for when she would make the item available to buy and without hesitation purchased this authentic piece before she had even announced her site was live on social media! LOL I know I moved quick!

I seriously love wearing this sweatshirt, its a size L but I actually like the way its baggy on me. Its all about proportion so I really like rolling/pushing up the sleeves, tucking it in at the front, letting it hang at the back and keeping my bottom half fitted. This weekend I wore even more relaxed and posted a picture on instagram here.

I wanted to keep this look minimal, clean and basic so I paired these great jeans from Bershka with my new classic black heels I bought on sale for 16.99 from MANGO, they seem to have gone back up in price so that was a great save! To finish it off I added my trenchcoat from H&M to keep the look fresh and bright.

The sweater is in top condition and I would definitely buy from Maria again *FYI this is NOT a sponsored post of any kind, I am just really happy with my sweater lol!* She recently had some vintage windbreaker/sports jackets I missed out on but she regularly updates her stock & her prices are extremely affordable for authentic pieces, seriously check her out >>>>Misspigeonswardrobe.com<<<<

Honestly I cant wait for the weather to get warmer so I can wear it with a pair of shorts & white converses, proper 90s style.
Hands down the best £18 I have ever spent. What do you guys think?

THE WEEKEND MUSE #5: OBSESSED WITH FLARES

Flares! Bruh! I love them! This hippie 70s vibe has taken over me, its so different and edgy. I never thought anything could replace my love for mom jeans because part of the reason I love them so much is how freeing they are to wear, not so clingy as the skinny jean, easy to put on, high waisted and they go with anything, well I have found the flare jean to be exactly the same!

There is such a wide range of styles; denim, patterned, tailored and if your worried the flare may drown you (especially if your not vertically blessed) don't be, there surprisingly slimming!

If your a skinny jean fan I recommend trying bootcut jeans they keep the silhouette of a skinny jean but have a tiny kick flare added at the bottom.

Flares are freaking coool.....

Last week I bought a black jean pair from H&M here unfortunately they have sold out online but I am looking for some alternatives so keep a look out for my outfit post later in the week!

Are you feeling the 70s vibe or nah...
