Its a brand new year! Hello January, hello 2021 and hello YOU! I hope you all had the best Christmas break you possibly could, under the circumstances. 2020 was quite a year and my sincerest prayer is that things will get better this year. 🙏🏽Spending such a large part of the year at home has had me brainstorming ideas to make it even more of a safe haven and uplifting space for me, especially when it comes to my bedroom. I finally feel like I'm ready to let go of the "instagrammer white walls" and embrace some colour, nothing too gaudy but I'm excited to share my ideas with you all. Right now my immediate attention is on picking a new desk lamp, as my old one decided it had to break up with me, literally...in pieces 😭🤦🏽♀️.
Looking at so many light options inspired me to put a post together - which honestly its so nice to be wanting to post and stirring with ideas. Creatively I've felt in such a lull and haven't felt much like blogging or creating content. I kinda "fell off" - I didnt spend the past year learning new things or growing my insta or any of the other amazing things I saw people doing online. Well thats a lie because staying alive, avoiding "C-19" (y'know who I mean) and remaing sane...ish, is definitely an amazing acheivement - and I'm happy with that, truly. I want to catch up properly in a future post, but for now I thank God for blessing me with seeing in a new year. I'm so ready for a new start and the chance to re-focus my energies on things other than C-19.
I want to be more present here and share more edits on the things that have caught my attention while online browsing, starting with today's post - we've hit the chapter in life when home decor excites me. Lol.
